Jewish Family Service Strategic Plan
The values and resilience of the Jewish people have been a guiding force for JFS since our founding in 1892. For 132 years, JFS has been here for the Jewish community, refugees and immigrants, and others who need support. Throughout that time, JFS has grown to meet the evolving and shifting needs of our community.
With this growth comes an additional responsibility to use our resources as wisely as possible so that we may have the greatest impact on the lives of those we serve.
This is why we developed a new strategic plan in 2023 to lead us deeper into the areas where we are strongest, invest in the life-changing programs and services that support our Jewish communities, and invest in the systems for growth and in our extraordinary staff who help us meet our mission every day.
We are excited to share with you the strategic plan that will guide our path in the upcoming years.

JFS will define strength broadly. By investing in our people, processes, and culture; modernizing our infrastructure; and strengthening our operational effectiveness, JFS is growing to meet our community’s changing needs.
